Officers responded to an alarm disarmed past its regular schedule and found an employee working there.

10:47 a.m., Beneski Building
An officer responded to an alarm and found it was set off accidentally by an employee.
5:55 p.m., Gooding Field
Officers responded to a report of non-community members using the field. A group was dismissed from the field.

12:00 a.m., College St.
An officer spoke with an individual walking with a bow and arrow. The individual was just returning home on foot.
11:44 a.m., Campus Grounds
An officer took a report of accidental damage to a metal pole.
5:56 p.m., Memorial Hill
An officer responded to a report of two individuals not following college Covid-19 guidelines and smoking something. No one was in the area.

11:09 a.m., Off-Campus Locations
An officer assisted with an erratic operator.
3:38 p.m. College St.
An individual reported a suspicious car they did not recognize. The vehicle was an official state vehicle without any markings and there were no issues.

An officer responded to an alarm and found it was set off accidentally by an employee.

12:43 a.m., Campus Grounds
Officers observed an area where an unauthorized event with alcohol took place.
1:13 a.m., East Drive
An officer stopped a vehicle that was violating college policy.
9:09 p.m., Morris Pratt
An officer responded to a report of an underaged group gathered with alcohol and violating college policy.
9:19 p.m., Mayo Smith Lot
An officer responded to a report of multiple large groups gathered and not following college policy. The groups dispersed upon the officers’ arrival.
11:54 p.m., Valentine Residence Hall
Officers responded to a report of a group gathered and refusing to disperse. There were no issues upon the officers’ arrival.

12:27 p.m., Memorial Hill
Officers responded to a report of a large gathering and found no issues.
1:51 p.m., Valentine Quad
An officer responded to a report of two individuals that were not affiliated with the college walking through campus and violating college policy. No one was found in the area upon the officer’s arrival.
Sept. 14, 2020
5:38 a.m., King Hall
An officer responded to a report of a possible odor of fuel and found no issues in the area.
11:19 a.m., Boltwood Avenue
An officer responded to a vehicle traveling the wrong way on a one way, dumping trash on the ground, and involved in an argument. The individuals involved were addressed and no issues found. They cleaned the trash before leaving the area.
5:13 p.m., 40 Dickinson St
Officers responded to an alarm and found no issues.

6:45 p.m., Ford Hall
An officer responded to an alarm and found no smoke or fire.
11:32 p.m., Tuttle Hill
An officer observed a vehicle that was not permitted on campus. The occupants were aware they were not supposed to be there and left the area without issue.

4:55 p.m., Mead Art Museum
Amherst Fire Department and officers responded to an alarm. There was no smoke or fire and the alarm was reset.
Sept. 18, 2020
5:43 p.m., Garman House
Officers responded to an alarm and found it was set off by steam from a shower.
11:47 p.m., Moore Hall
Residential Life staff responded to a noise complaint.

12:14 a.m., Keefe Campus Center
An officer took a report of a stolen golf cart. The cart was recovered.
2:04 a.m., Keefe Campus Center
A key used to steal a golf cart was confiscated.
8:20 p.m., Campus Grounds
Officers responded to a report of a possible unauthorized party. No party was found at this time.
9:37 p.m., Book and Plow Farm
Officers observed an unauthorized party with alcohol. The party dispersed.
9:57 p.m., Bike Path
An officer observed a group, larger than 10, gathering in an area not used for gatherings. The group left the area upon the officer’s arrival.
10:49 p.m., Moore Hall
A bottle of alcohol was confiscated.

An officer found a college-owned table that was intentionally broken.
1:51 p.m., Nicholls Biondi Hall
Officers responded to an alarm and found it was set off by cooking smoke.
7:53 p.m., Johnson Chapel
Officers responded to an alarm and found no one in the area.
