The men’s cross-country team won the NESCAC championships last Saturday, breaking a seven-year stronghold by Williams College. The Polar Bears were led by Stephen Allison, Todd Forsgren and Patrick Vardaro, who placed second, fifth and ninth
respectively
�Middlebury College
The women’s cross-country team placed four of their top 12 runners last Saturday at the NESCAC cross country championships, to win their fourth title in a row. They won with a final score of 48, while Williams College took second with a score of 59, and Amherst placed third with 98.
�Williams College
Robin Young was named NESCAC Volleyball Player of the Week for her efforts in the Purple Eph’s three wins last week. Her 46 kills with a .304 hitting percentage and 44 digs helped lead Williams to the Little III championship. Her efforts will be needed heading into the NESCAC tournament.
�Tufts University
Senior Tri-captain Brad Stitchberry scored two goals in the first round of the NESCAC men’s soccer playoffs against Wesleyan University on Sunday. Stitchberry was named NESCAC Co-Player of the Week. The Jumbos went on to win the game 6-5 on penalty kicks, after four overtime periods.
