College Announces New Interim Title IX Director

The college announced on April 22 that Maureen Holland, currently a member of the Institutional Response Team at Cozen O’Connor, a law firm that specializes in Title IX work, would be assuming the role of interim director of the Civil Rights and Title IX Office at the college following the departure of former interim director Tracy Kennedy on April 30. Finalists for the permanent position will be visiting campus the week of April 29.

Seniors Present Research for Three Minute Thesis Competition

On Wednesday, May 1, students from 10 different departments will be presenting their thesis research in three minutes or less for the opportunity to win cash prizes. While the overall winner and runner-up will be selected by the judges, audience members will help judge the winner for the competition’s People’s Choice award.

Artists to Hold Performance-Lecture Fusing Hip-Hop and Arabic Poetry

Omar Offendum, a Syrian-American rapper and poet, and Palestinian musician Ronnie Malley will hold a performance-lecture fusing Hip-Hop and Arabic poetry on Friday, April 26. The event will explore the impact of Arabic culture on music in the U.S.
