A CSA discovered graffiti on a college-owned building. ACPD responded to investigate.

12:08 p.m., Johnson Chapel

ACPD responded to an intrusion alarm. The cause of activation was unfounded.

5:21 p.m., Stearns Hall

A CSA responded to a 2111 emergency call from the elevator. The cause of activation was not found.

ACPD responded to a pre-fire alarm. The cause of activation was cooking smoke.

ACPD investigated a motor vehicle with an expired registration.  The operator renewed it online.

ACPD and AFD responded to a fire alarm.  The cause is unknown.

ACPD investigated a minor motor vehicle accident.

ACPD and AFD responded to a fire alarm.  The cause was burnt popcorn.

9:53 p.m., 79 South Pleasant St.

ACPD and AFD responded to a fire alarm.  The cause was an equipment malfunction.

Community Safety responded to a noise complaint and asked a resident to turn the music down.

ACPD responded to a pre-fire alarm caused by a hair dryer.

ACPD investigated a report of a person yelling incoherently.  ACPD determined it was a local homeless person known to them.

5:14 p.m., Morrow Hall

ACPD received a 2111 emergency call from the elevator. The cause of activation was not found.

8:38 p.m., King Hall

ACPD responded to a pre-fire alarm and found the cause of activation to be cooking.

8:50 p.m., Book and Plow Farm

ACPD conducted a check on a suspicious motor vehicle parked in the woods on Amherst College property. The operator was spoken to and they were sent on their way.
