Immigration Update Sessions
On Feb. 13, the college’s Office of Human Resources, along with the Office of Immigration Services (OICS), will be hosting two information sessions for international staff, faculty, and students on new changes to immigration policies. The first session will be for international faculty and staff from 3 p.m. to 3:45 p.m., and the second session will be for international students from 4 p.m. to 4:45 p.m. Both sessions will be in the Friedmann Room, Keefe Campus Center, and feature guest speaker attorney Dan Berger.
“It’s On Us” Men’s Basketball Game
On Feb. 14 from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m., the Amherst men’s basketball team will be playing in the “It’s On Us” game. Hosted by Wellbeing Education and Peer Educators at LeFrak Gymnasium, there will be a table for students to stop by and pledge to end sexual violence and create a culture of sexual respect at the college.
Award-Winning Pianist Nadia Shpachenko: Free Concert
Grammy Award-winning Ukranian-American pianist Nadia Shpachenko will be performing in a free concert at Buckley Recital Hall on Feb. 17 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. She will be performing famous works by Chopin as well as Chopin-inspired pieces by Ukrainian composers. The program is entitled Unbreakable Spirit: Music of Resilience, and is inspired by the war in Ukraine and the resilience of the Ukrainian people. Tickets are not required.
