Frost Library Seeks Website Feedback
Frost Library is currently soliciting feedback via an online survey from faculty, students, and staff on how they currently use the library’s website, and how it can be improved to better serve the college community. Three randomly selected survey participants will be awarded 25-dollar Downtown-Amherst gift cards. The survey will remain open until Friday, March 29.
Russian Center Celebrates Debut of Part 2 of Art in Doubt Exhibition
The Amherst Center for Russian Culture will be holding a reception to celebrate the opening of the second half of its exhibition “Art in Doubt: A Critical Examination of the Thomas P. Whitney Collection,” on Thursday, March 28 at 4:30 p.m. The works presented in the exhibition are a mix of authentic experimental Russian modern art and works whose authenticity has been called into question, and the exhibition itself, curated by Maria Timina, “marks the first scholarly presentation of dubious works of Russian and Soviet modern art in the United States.”
Mead Hosts ‘Choreographic Event’ Based on Latest Exhibition
On April 3, the Mead Art Museum will host artist Nibia Pastrana Santiago for an event connected to the museum’s exhibit Trópico es Político: Caribbean Art Under the Visitor Economy Regime. Drawing from the genre of contemporary dance, Santiago’s performance will call for “visionary alternatives for the tropics.”
