However, the Mammoths’ undefeated season came to a close against second-ranked Illinois Wesleyan University, who downed Amherst by a score of 8-0. Amherst would go on to finish the break with a stellar 8-2 record, with the team’s only other loss coming at the hands of conference foe Tufts. Ronnie Felasco ’21 led the Mammoths offensively, hitting .452 and knocking in 12 runs.
