With Honors: Sarah Harper '07 and Kristin Quinn '07

Although the women’s golf team, which lost many seniors last spring, was unable to post a team score with just three Jeffs competing in last weekend’s NES-CAC Women’s Invitational Golf Tournament, junior Harper sparkled individually in the event. She posted an astouding two-day total of 81-81-162, her best score yet this season, placing fourth overall in the event. The first-place individual, Kara Solem of Mt. Holyoke College, finished just eight strokes ahead of Harper. On a team that has been strapped for players this season, Harper has continued to play well, leading the team in every tournament thus far.

 Kristin Quinn ’07

With a relatively young and inexperienced team, it has been up to a few veteran players to step up and lead the volleyball squad this season. Among them is junior outside-hitter Quinn, who earned all-tournament honors along with senior tri-captain Kate Raddock, for her efforts in the Wesleyan Invitational last weekend. Notching 29 kills throughout the three-game tournament, Quinn was an offensive stalwart for the Firedogs. After finishing second in the Invitational, the Jeffs will stay at home next weekend and compete against NESCAC foes from Hamilton and Middlebury Colleges.
