Meatless Mondays? Going tray-less?
Whatever your opinion is on these controversial efforts, it is important to
recognize all of the other ways that Valentine has been working to reduce waste
and save energy. Some of the staff’s biggest efforts have in fact been happening
behind the scenes, plotted in the bowels of Valentine Dining Hall.
Now in his seventh year at Val, Executive Chef Jeremy Roush continues to
tirelessly work not only to keep Val running, but also constantly improving.

Consulting season at Amherst came fast. Open the “Career Columns” newsletter and
you get the sinking feeling that if you’re not working for Parthenon, Bain or
going to Harvard Law, you’re probably out of luck. Talk of an upcoming case
interview workshop or a friend’s lucrative summer internship often slips into
daily conversation. While Amherst offers consulting and finance opportunities
throughout the year, fall is a particularly intense time of year for those
hoping to land a summer internship
