AAS Hosts Campus-Wide Talent Show
The AAS will be holding a talent show in the Powerhouse on March 8. Prizes will be awarded to the top three acts, and include gift cards to Amazon, GoBerry, and Antonio’s. No tryouts are required, and students are welcome to perform in groups.
Award-Winning Authors Headline LitFest 2024
The college’s ninth annual LitFest, which celebrates “fiction, nonfiction, poetry, and spoken-word performance,” will begin on Thursday, Feb. 22. The festival will feature Pulitzer Prize winner Paul Harding, former U.S. Poet Laureate and current Presidential Scholar Natasha Tretheway, and other acclaimed authors. In addition to discussing their work, authors will host craft talks on various aspects of creative writing. The weekend’s activities will commence with a spoken word slam on Thursday evening.
Theater and Dance Department Presents Electra
The Theater and Dance Department will showcase student talent in its upcoming presentation of Nick Payne’s 2011 adaptation of the Greek Tragedy Electra. Directed by Caspian Rabaia ’24 and featuring Petra Brusiloff ’24 as the titular character, the play will run from Thursday, Feb. 29 to Saturday, March 2 in the Holden Theater. Students can reserve tickets online.
