Mead Art Museum 75th Anniversary & Fall Opening
On Friday, the Mead Art Museum will celebrate its 75th anniversary with three new exhibitions: “Swapnaa Tamhane: Spaces That Hold,” “A Contentious Legacy: Paintings from Soviet Ukraine,” and “Re/Presenting: An Activity Gallery.” The opening will be from 5 to 8 p.m., where visitors can tour galleries with student museum educators.
Fort River Cleanup
The Fort River Watershed Association will host its seventh annual Fort River cleanup at Groff Park, 83 Mill Lane, on Saturday, from 9:30 a.m. to 12 p.m. The cleanup is part of the larger Connecticut River-wide one-day Source to Sea event, a community-led initiative to remove trash from watersheds in New Hampshire, Vermont, Massachusetts, and Connecticut. Volunteers will be required to complete a registration form in case of changes before or after the event.
Hitchcock Plant Shop
The Office of Community Living will be hosting a Plant Shop in Hitchcock Residence Hall this Sunday, from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. Stop by to learn how to repot plants, receive plant care tips, and get a new plant to take home for your room. Supplies are limited and will be first-come, first-serve.
