An officer responded to a request from Residential Life staff to provide for assistance with a group of people continuously gathering after being told to disperse.

3:27 p.m. Frost Library

Amherst Fire Department, Residential Life staff and officers responded to a report of individuals on the balcony, which is not permitted for use.

9:48 p.m. Greenway Tent

CSAs [Community Safety Ambassador], a CSO [Campus Safety Officer] and an officer responded to a report of loud noise and a gathering under a tent. No one was found in the area.

Residential Life staff responded to a noise complaint and Covid violations.

12:00 p.m. Quadrangle

CSAs responded to a report of visitors on campus not following Covid guidelines.

2:48 p.m. Science Center

An officer took a report of an annoying phone call.

An officer and electrician responded to an alarm set off by cooking smoke and the alarm would not clear on its own.

An officer took a report of harassing behavior regarding sexual orientation.

2:55 p.m. Pratt Field

An officer responded to a report of two individuals not affiliated with the college entering Pratt Field. The two were no longer in the area after they were told to leave prior to the officer’s arrival.

5:49 p.m. Athletic Fields (Soccer and Baseball)

A CSA and officers responded to a report of a large group gathered, not following Covid guidelines and playing beer pong. The group dispersed as officers arrived.

11:01 p.m. Keefe Campus Center

A CSO and officer responded to a report of an active fire pit and no one monitoring it. The officer extinguished the fire.

11:13 p.m. Hitchcock Lot and Outside of Seelye House

Officers responded to a noise complaint and spoke with two groups playing loud music. Both groups left the area without incident.

11:47 p.m. Tyler Place

An officer asked a group of people to move their vehicles, because they were blocking the roadway. The vehicles were moved.

Officers responded to an alarm and found it was set off by a candle. Two candles were confiscated.
