I remember making a big batch of Rice Krispies Treats during the winter as a kid, and on snowy Val evenings, I crave nothing more than a warm bowl of marshmallows and cereal. What many people don’t know is that you can make these gooey treats with practically any kind of cereal. Because of this, I went with my favorite — Cocoa Puffs. The microwaving can be tricky, so don’t be fooled by the simple ingredients. For extra fun, add some sprinkles, chocolate chips, or even a completely different cereal!

Here is a detailed step by step for this delicious treat:

Directions

1. Fill a bowl about halfway with any cereal.

2. Add a small spoonful of your favorite butter.

3. Top with a few scoops of mini marshmallows.

4. Microwave in 15-second intervals, stirring between each (it usually takes 30-45 seconds) until the cereal is completely coated.
