Mike Page ’05

At the UMass-Dartmouth Invitational this past weekend, junior co-captain Mike Page led the men’s cross country team to their first-place finish. Page beat the heat to place fourth overall with his 25:40 finish, just one second ahead of fellow co-captain John Stanton-Geddes ’04. Page’s consistent efforts have helped the Jeffs win the first two meets of the season. He finished second at the Amherst Invitational on Sept. 6.

Rilla led the men’s tennis team to a resounding victory at the ECAC North Men’s Tennis Championship. Playing first singles, Rilla defeated Tyler Esler of Lehigh University in straight sets (6-2, 6-3) for the win. Amherst placed first overall with 22 team points, ahead of Lehigh, which came in second with 18 points. Rilla’s performance helped power Amherst to the victory. Rilla is undefeated this fall at the first singles position.
