Jeff Jordan ’81 is a lifelong learner, who is always up for the challenge.
People have often recognized his perseverance and contributions in the workplace
and helped shape the career he has today.
As a venture capitalist at Andreessen Horowitz, Jordan serves on the board of
Airbnb and Pinterest and was formerly the CEO of PayPal and OpenTable. A father
of two, Jordan is passionate about assessing and building companies, especially
in their early stages.

A music and computer science double major with a certificate in ethnomusicology,
Tomal Hossain ’17 immersed himself in the Amherst music community through his
ability to reach people with his art and his personality.
Hossain will spend the next year traveling around the world as a Watson Fellow,
exploring the intersections of music and culture.
