College Releases First-Year Class Data After One-Month Delay
After a one-month delay, the college has released demographic data for the class of 2029. This year’s class sets a new record for the percentage of first-generation students and students from rural towns. The percentage of Black and African American and Latinx students also doubled.
Conservative Jurist Speaks on Trump’s Second Term
Lawyer and former Court of Appeals jurist J. Michael Luttig spoke to students last Thursday about the erosion of the Constitution under President Donald Trump. He discussed the Supreme Court’s facilitation of Trump's unlawful initiatives and called for public protest against Trump’s actions.
AAS Candidate Statements for Vacant Class of 2027 Seat and Transfer Senators
Class of 2027 candidates and Transfer Student candidates for the Association of Amherst Students’ senate elections on Friday, Oct. 24 and Saturday, Oct. 25, have submitted their statements. Speech Night will be held on Wednesday, Oct. 22, at 8 p.m. in Johnson Chapel.
