With Honors: Andrew Schiel '06E and Krissy Morin '06
Basketball co-captain Schiel was named Tournament MVP at the Fourth-Annual Ken
Wright ’52 Memorial Invitation on Saturday. Schiel led with 13 points to crush
Medgar Evers College, 107-55, in the first round of the tournament. In the
championship game on Saturday, the outstanding forward again led the Jeffs with

Indoor track returns several star runners
Although both teams suffered losses due to graduation, many star runners will
return to the track. “For both teams, we will return a lot of the big scorers
from last years team with the key losses being Aly Venti [’04] for the women and

Women's basketball starts strong
Led by junior forward Katie Latham, the girls jumped to a 28-18 start after the
first half of game one and never looked back. First-year forward Matia Kostakis
and first-year guard Shaina Pollack each had quite the premiere, putting in a
notable eight and seven points respectively, while Latham collected
Men's hoops team starts off 3-0
The Cougars justified this concern with an impressive first half, shooting 57.9
percent from the field. Amherst, meanwhile, struggled against Clark’s zone
defense but managed to enter the half with a narrow 32-25 advantage.
The Jeffs returned to form in the second half behind an improved defensive
effort.
Women place 12th at NCAAs
Senior co-captain Carter Hamill led the scoring for the Jeffs as she has all
season and since her freshman year. Hamill finished fifth in 21:34, garnering
All-American honors for the fourth year in a row. Coach Erik Nedeau was duly
