ACPD responded to a 911 hang-up after the caller stated it was a prank. The Detective met with the individual that was involved. No further assistance was needed.

A Sergeant observed two people trying to steal a street sign. Amherst Police Department responded as well. The two individuals never took possession of the sign. They were spoken to and sent on their way.

A staff member reported suspicious property that was left on the steps of their building. A Sergeant responded and found the property belonged to a current student. Items were then returned to the owner.

Contractors accidentally cut a wire and set off the fire alarm. No emergency response from police or fire was necessary.

A Detective took a report of vandalism on the exterior of the building.

ACPD and AFD respond to a fire alarm in the basement level of the building. No smoke or fire was observed. AFD then cleared the scene.

A student reported their property being stolen from the coatroom in Valentine Dining Hall. A Detective responded and conducted an investigation. Property was recovered and returned to the owner.

ACPD, Amherst Fire Department responded to a fire alarm. The cause of activation was from a faulty smoke detector. Electrical Shop responded and replaced detector.
