The Chief responded to a report of damage to a fence.

A detective placed a boot on a vehicle that is on the boot list and parked in violation of parking regulations.

12:07 p.m., 79 South Pleasant Lot

A detective responded to a report of an individual not affiliated with the College blocking vehicles.

2:21 p.m., Moore Dormitory

Student Affairs Community Safety Assistant (CSA) staff responded to a report of someone accessing a balcony not permitted for access.

A detective took a report regarding an on-going investigation.

A detective responded to a report of someone stuck inside the elevator. The individual was released.

1:00 p.m., Frost Library

A staff member reported area closed signs were posted and there was no known reason for these.

7:21 p.m., Hills Lot

A Sergeant took a report of a catalytic converter being stolen from a vehicle.

10:02 p.m., Hitchcock House

Student Affairs CSA staff responded to a report of a door hinge pin moved out of place.

A detective followed up on a previously reported theft.

11:48 a.m., Morris Pratt Dormitory

A detective took a report of a coat with a car key being stolen from a common room.

9:17 p.m., Morrow Dormitory

A detective responded to a report of an individual not affiliated with the college in a residence hall after someone held the door open for them. The individual left the area upon the detective's request.

1:30 a.m., Alumni Lot

A detective located an individual not affiliated with the college and in need of assistance. The town police assisted with the individual.

2:42 p.m., Amherst College Police Department

A fake ID was confiscated and turned into the state Registry of Motor Vehicles.

4:44 p.m., Frost Library

A detective responded to a report of possible damage to a vehicle. The damage does not appear to have occurred on campus.

2:14 p.m., Farm Lane

The Senior Detective responded to a report of doors to a storage unit left open. They were left open intentionally and there were no issues.

2:19 p.m., Johnson Chapel

A detective responded to a report of vandalism and found it was a poster with writing on it.

10:11 p.m., South Parking Lot

A detective observed a parked vehicle with damage to the rear bumper. No one was in the area and no one reported the incident. The individual that caused the damage was contacted.

A Sergeant and a detective responded to an alarm and found someone climbed on the roof and took an unknown item. This incident is pending further investigation.

12:32 a.m., Campus Grounds

A Sergeant and a detective responded to a report of someone yelling for help and a group running away from the area. No one was found in the area upon their arrival.

A detective responded at the request of Residential Life (ResLife) staff to assist with a safe. There were no issues.

A detective placed a boot on a vehicle on the boot list and parked in violation of parking regulations.

The senior detective transported an item to the State Police Crime Lab for testing.

9:49 p.m., Amherst College Police Department

A detective continued an investigation with a previously reported incident.

A Student Affairs CSA staff member responded to a report of a noise complaint.

A detective responded to a report of vandalism throughout a residence hall including broken furniture, a broken Exit sign, ripped carpet, and a hole in the wall.

The Senior Detective confiscated a propane tank that was stored inside the building.
