Mammoth Moments in Miniature provides quick updates on campus happenings. This week’s edition includes the Global Culture Fair, Earth Fest 2026, and the WonderPartyEveryone! (A Being Human Festival event).
Global Culture Fair
On Thursday, the Global Culture Fair, an event promoted by the Association of Amherst Students (AAS), the Center for International Student Engagement (CISE), and the International Student Association (ISA), will be held on the First-Year Quad, from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. The fair will feature over 20 countries and cultures, with attendees able to explore global traditions while enjoying international food, music, and activities.
Earth Fest 2026
On Friday, the third annual Amherst Spring Sustainability Festival, “Earth Fest,” will be held on the First-Year Quad, from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. The festival will feature a free thrifting extravaganza and RSO fair, along with tree planting, waste audits, upcycling and repair stations, desserts, games, and prizes.
WonderPartyEveryone! (A Being Human Festival event)
On Friday, the “WonderPartyEveryone!” will immerse visitors in the work of artist JooYoung Choi, on view in a solo exhibition titled “Adventures of the Quantum Soup Surfer” at the Mead Art Museum. “WonderPartyEveryone!” will take place at the Mead from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Working with staff, artist JooYoung Choi will prepare materials, decor, and activities such as story time, dress-up, illustrator conversation, fanfic writing, and more.
