College Hosts First In-person Admitted Students Day Since 2019

On Sunday, April 10, the college hosted its first in-person admitted students day since 2019. Students participated in campus tours, lunch with faculty from different departments, and academic panels hosted by the college’s academic departments, and a club fair. Throughout the day, the Office of Financial Aid provided appointments with admitted students and parents. A series of online events, including a number of identity-based community conversations and resource center showcases, led up to the in-person event.

AAS Executive Board Election Results Announced

The Association of Amherst Students (AAS) Elections Committee announced the results of last week’s E-Board elections in an email sent on Saturday. Sirus Wheaton ’23 won the race for AAS president, with Jaden Richards ’25 stepping into the role of vice-president. Dania Hallak ’24 is the newly elected treasurer, and Jeffrey Ma ’24 won for secretary. The new Judiciary Council chair is Alex Jabor ’23. The new elects were sworn in at Monday’s weekly AAS meeting.
