Plato’s Spotlight: A Showcase with Jackson Hersom ’27

Ahead of its anticipated fall opening, the college offered editors of The Student a sneak peek of the new Student Center and Dining Commons. The tour provided details of the space and interesting facts about its construction.

After announcing its fall 2026 closure, Hampshire College staff, faculty, and alumni launched an emergency relief fund for approximately 250 employees whose positions will end without severance pay. The fund will help provide immediate financial assistance and support for job searches.

On Thursday, environmental justice advocate and human rights attorney Steven Donziger delivered a talk titled “Donziger v. Chevron: Weaponizing the Bench for Corporate Retaliation.” He discussed his legal battle against Chevron Corporation and its oil contamination of the Ecuadorian Amazon.
