Frost Library C Level Closed Due to Mold
C Level of Frost Library has been closed since the beginning of the academic year due to a mold infestation. The infestation has affected 60% of the aisles, preventing students from requesting any of the 300,000 books on the floor. Director of the Library Martin Garnar cited humidity as the cause.
Former Student Arrested for 20 Criminal Charges
Jovante Gonzalez, former member of the Class of 2027, was arrested for 20 criminal charges. Gonzalez allegedly installed a camera in a gender-inclusive bathroom, discovered in mid-April. His criminal charges include nine counts of photographing an unsuspecting nude person and more.
Professor Discusses Female Presidential Victories
On Sept. 8, Associate Professor of Political Science at the UC Chile, Catherine Reyes-Housholder, delivered a talk on her new book “How Women Win Presidential Elections in Latin America.” She argued for the importance of understanding how and why parties nominate women candidates.
